George's Holiday Home

George's is located just one road back from Eastbournes' Seafront with its historic pier and miles of promenade leading to the infamous chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and just a ten minute walk into the bustling town centre, where you will find every type of cuisine, art galleries, 5 theatres, an array of shops, department stores, a museum and much, much more.

 

Having been fully refurbished and extended the gorgeous Victorian terraced house combines some elegant original features with contemporary modern style.

The spacious property is perfect for groups and extended families. It was originally a bed and breakfast style guest house back in the 1950's & 60's and has been used as a spacious and comfortable holiday let ever since.

 

Layout:

The house is arranged over 6 split level floors. There are 2 full flights of stairs and the others are made up of just 4-6 steps.

The basement level has the games room and laundry room.

The next level up has the kitchen diner and a shower room with toilet.

Up from there is the ground floor level where you will find the lounge.

Then up the first full flight of stairs you will find the first of the bedrooms and a separate toilet with hand basin.

The next half level up there is a twin bedroom and then the family master bedroom with en-suite.

Up the final full flight of stairs there is the loft bedroom and a full bathroom.

 

Sleeping:

The master bedroom is a large family room with kingsize bed, a flop out sofa bed (sleeps 2 children up to 12 years) and travel cot (sleeps child up to 2 years). It has an ensuite shower room with toilet.

There is one twin room (with 2 single beds) and 2 other double rooms (with double beds) The loft one has another travel cot..

The further sleeping area is the basement games room, in here we have a day bed with trundle which can be used as a sofa during the day and then at night pulled out to be used as 2 single beds or one double bed. 

 

Bathrooms:

There is a family bathroom in the loft and a family shower room down near the kitchen both with toilets, a further separate toilet with basin is on the floor near the majority of bedrooms and then there is the ensuite shower room with toilet in the family bedroom.

 

Kitchen:

There is a large fully equipped kitchen diner with all mod cons; dishwasher, large American fridge freezer with ice and water dispenser, big range style cooker with 2 separate ovens and 6 hob rings, slow cooker, steamer, microwave, 

There is enough cutlery, crockery and utensils for everyone plus plastic plates, bowls and beakers for outside use.

There are dining seats for 12 guests plus 2 highchairs for little ones. The table is extendable so can seat 6 - 12 guests.

There is a separate laundry/utility room where you will find the washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner etc.

 

Entertainment:

The front of the basement has been arranged as a games room complete with table football, board games, toys and a games console with games to play on the 4k smart TV, so along with the free Wi-Fi even the most hard to please children will be entertained on any bad weather days. We provide a bag of sand and water toys which can be taken over the road to the beach and skittles etc which can be played outside in the garden.

There is a large lounge with comfortable seating for 12, the large curved screen TV has satellite channels including Sky Sports. We have a large selection of books and dvds covering all genres for those wanting to relax and unwind. There is an adult games area in the lounge with a table that has lift out chess board, backgammon board, a card playing surface and a roulette wheel etc. We also have dominoes, draughts, pick up sticks, loads of different games for adults to play while the children are entertained downstairs.

 

For the Kids:

We pride ourselves on being very child friendly and try to make it as easy as possible for families with children of any age. For little ones (under 2) we have available two travel cots (we don't provide mattresses or bedding due to cot death guidelines so please bring your own blankets), we have 2 highchairs that can be put up in the kitchen, a baby monitor and pushchair all available if required. Also in the kitchen is 2 sets of children sized cutlery and 4 children's' egg cups.

We have child friendly toilets seats, where there is a smaller seat which can be flapped down on to the usual size seat making it much easier for smaller children. There are toys available that would suit children 1-8 years and then for older children there is Xbox One with a selection of games, table football, Twister, Jenga. and the all important WIFI for older ones. We have smart TV's with Sky TV so numerous children's' channels and movie channels suitable for children and access to youtube etc.  The books and dvds we have would suit a wide range of ages, perfect for rainy days. We have child sized walking sticks and umbrella if venturing out on bad weather days. We provide picnic bag, rug and ice packs along with plastic bowls, cups, plates and cutlery, bucket, spade, sand and water toys everything required for a picnic on the beach when the weather is good. The garden is child friendly, it has a wall with fence on top all the way round and a gate with a high bolt which younger children can't reach to undo, there are skittles and other toys which can be taken outside to play with.

 

Pets:

Well behaved dogs are welcome by request, (charges apply). There are pets bowls available at the house for food and water.  Please do not leave any pets unattended in the property or allow them on to any of the furniture.

 

Outside:

There is on street parking with no restrictions available free of charge on the roads around the house (with the exception of the sea front) although it can get busy during peak times. Opposite the house are garages with double yellow lines, you can stop here briefly to load/unload during busy times.

The sun trap courtyard rear garden is walled on every side and totally secure for children and pets. There is a large table and bench seating for 12+ people.
